I needed a br(e)ake

Here’s why. Focusing on music since switching the 90’ties into the two thousands, without actually making progress ( at least without licking arses all around ), wasn’t exactly fun anymore, I had to slow down some bits. What’s better to slow down than riding a bike hard? Exactly, nothing. Adrenaline rushes from riding bikes are awesome. Enough wanking, ok?

It was somewhere early 2000 that I did my motorcycle exam. My narrow minded parents always withholded me from doing stuff that i liked, so as soon as I dropped out of home, I started to work and started to invest in these kind of hobbies. I always had some normal roadbikes: Ducati’s and BMW”s because I wanted to use them as a commuter and a sporty roadbike. The last few years in Belgium have become silly to own a bike. Every 2km you’re being controlled by some mobile camera or speed control. No more fun riding bikes in Belgium ( The French part is still ok, the Flemish part is a mess).

So, I decided to invest in bike specifically for tracks. No intention whatsoever to start racing ( or maybe I am :p), but for now I want to learn the craft of riding a bike on track. Cornering, leaning, throttle perfection, brake optimisation and so on. It might sound scary and a risky but let’s be honest, riding a bike on the public roads isn’t exactly to be called ‘safe’ anymore.

For me it’s like young boy’s dream finally coming true.

The great part is, that in Belgium there are so many organisations ( and Holland too ), who organize trackdays on the many circuit/tracks that are around.

The bike that I purchased is an Aprillia RS457 (457cc), that’s super light, super agile and the twin cillinder with deep growl like a mature bike is an absolute fun to ride. I specifically picked this bike because of its super great handling.

Let the sunny days come !

Oh yeah, still making music tho :p

4 tracker EP seeing the daylight somewhere May 2025. At my pace, at my speed !
